The idea of pregnant women not receiving full-term prenatal care was completely unacceptable to the founders of People’s Health Clinic. So, since PHC’s earliest days, your donations have ensured that prenatal care has been available to the uninsured
women in our area. Women who see a health care provider regularly during pregnancy have healthier babies, are less likely to deliver prematurely, and are less likely to have other serious problems related to pregnancy.
Currently at PHC, three volunteer Certified Nurse Midwives care for patients on Wednesdays. One of them, Annette Johnson, recently spoke on PCTV’s Wellness Wednesdays.
